Locality remarks: Gear also dipnets. Water very dark coffee color, turbid where shallow & wind driven. No vegetation. Temp 30.5 C (air 30.5 C). Bottom volcanic rubble + sand. Shore porous, volcanic ash + sand. Current slight, along shore wind driven?. Capture within 10 m offshore to about 3-4 feet (depth to 3-4 ft - estimated to 2-3m for lake). Gear: rotenone + dipnets. pH 4.0 (double checked), diss. O2 about 6.0. Alkalinity (methyl orange)= 0.0. Dry year!
