Object remarks: Labels by both Quensel ('Silurus Herzbergii 11.35:367 Tranqueb.') and Dalman ('Silurus Herzbergii Bloch 11,33 367 Tranquebar'). Whether suggested origin 'Tranquebar' is original or from literature remains uncertain/SIL 1997.
Locality remarks: Date of collecting and accession antedates 22 Aug 1806. Apparently, Quensel wrote two kinds of labels: 1. a long narrow type usually with only scientific name, and 2. a small wider type with name, page number in Syst Nat XIII, and known distribution.
