Object remarks: Labels from: Quensel (narrow type) and Dalman. Included in catalogues of Hornstedt 1788, Quensel 1798 & 1800, Swartz 1809 (1 specimen i alc - no 'MDhlm' mark), and Dalman 1828 (1 specimen). Not included in Museum Adolphi Friderici. Linnaeus 1758 refers to Gronovius only, but gives, however, meristics for a specimen. No type status /EIÅ, 1998.
Locality remarks: Date of collecting and accession antedates 22 Aug 1806. Apparently, Quensel wrote two kinds of labels: 1. a long narrow type usually with only scientific name, and 2. a small wider type with name, page number in Syst Nat XIII, and known distribution.

Object remarks: One torn Quensel label (previously glued to jar): 'Silurus Cl..' or possibly 'Silurus Cla...'/SIL 1997. Likely to be identical with Silurus clarias from the collection of Charles de Geer, and antedating 1766 (cross-mark in both ed of S.N.). Probably no type status. /EIÅ, 2014
