Object remarks: Head separated from body. Labels from Quensel; Dalman ; Smitt and Andersson. Included in Hornstedt's catalogue as Loricaria cataphracta (cf Quensel's catalogue p. 31). Probably from the de Geer collection, and possibly collected by Rolander 1754-1756. May have been examined by Linnaeus, but has hardly type status /EIÅ, 2011
Locality remarks: De Geer also obtained Suriname material later via Holland.
