Object remarks: Original label by Quensel: 'Stromateus argenteus Bl. t. 421. China[?]'. Catalogued by Quensel (1800): 'Stromateus argenteus Block 12-92-t. 421 - Hab. ad Tranquebar'. Not mentioned in his appendix which indicate that it probably was accessed between 1788 and 1800. For some time believed to be from Ahlströmer Museum, and thereby holotype of Stromateus argenteus Euphrasén, as only one KVA specimen listed by Swartz (1809) and Dalman (1828), but that obviously incorrect. Smaller than figure in original description. Alströmer collection acquired in 1848 /SOK,EIÅ 2009
