Object remarks: Tentatively identified as syntypes. Orig. descr. (Drensky 1928) lists 8 spms and gives data for 6; NRM specimens agree with SLs for specimens I and II of Drensky (1928:171); Kottelat (1997:92) also lists 2 NMW spms. Current use Sabanejewia bulgarica (Drensky, 1928); Kottelat (1997:92)/SIL 1997. Name updated from Cobitis bulgarica /EIÅ, 2008
