Object remarks: Oldest label from J.W. Dalman: '- Mare Hispanicum. Hedenborg.' /EIÅ, 2000. Probably not included in Dalman's catalogue, 1828. /EIÅ, 2006 Identification uncertain. If Mare Hispanicum means Bay of Biscaya or Caribbean Sea also uncertain. Aquisitions during the 1820s is likely to have been kept separate, and not included in the 1828 catalogue! /EIÅ, 2018
Locality remarks: Locality updated from 'Mare Hispanicum' / 'Spanska Sjön'. Probably Hedenborg donated his private collections before he went to Istanbul in 1825. He never went to the West Indies himself. Collecting may be made anytime before 1825, possibly at the Swedish Colony St. Barthélémy. /EIÅ, 2000.
