The original lot NRM 8507 with two specimens was split in two jars for some time, one for the exhibition (with specimen mounted on white glass plate) and one for the collection. The two specimens were reassembled in one jar in 1997. Species epithet updated from 'Megalops thrissoides'/SIL, 1997.
