Object remarks: Possibly lectotype for Silurus clarias Linnaeus; not listed by Fernholm & Wheeler (1983). Labels: Quensel (Silurus Clarias), Dalman (Silurus Clarias), L.G. Andersson (Bagrus docmac. 7044. 'Silurus clarias.' utan angifven lokal. 1 ex.)./EIÅ, 1993. If Hasselquist's specimen of Silurus clarias Linnaeus, then lectotype designated by Silfvergrip (1996)./SIL?/2000. Oldest label seems to predate Quensel(!). "Silurus clarias?" in Quensel's catalogue (1800) seems to refer to another specimen - included in the collection before the arrival of the Drottningholm stuff/EIÅ, 2011
Locality remarks: Date of collecting and accession antedates 22 Aug 1806. Number on label (when present) is page number in Systema Naturae XIII and locality (when present) is taken from that paper.
