Object remarks: NRM 7004 and 7005 originally in 1 jar, as 'Doras muricus'; faded white specimen of Centrochir crocodili restored in 1997 from separate exhibition jar then mislabeled as 'Doras muricus NRM 7004' (label now stored with NRM 7004); see NRM 7004 for further remarks/SIL 1997.
Locality remarks: Date: about 1832. For more information see KVA Handl. Río Magdalena drainage origin also supported by species composition. For insects sent by Nisser given localities was "vid Antiochia" and "i granskapet af den lilla staden Remedios i Columbien" respectively (Fries, 1833).
