Object remarks:
Locality remarks: Probably transferred from Freshwater Reserch Laboratory at Drottningholm to NRM in late 1970s or early 1980s. Accession date assumed. Kvarnbäcken, tråg 20' [=Kvarnbäcken, Fish hatchery, tank 20], 'Norrfors' [=strain?]/EIÅ. Reinterpretation of locality: Olof Filipsson (Freshwater Research Laboratory, Drottningholm) interprets the locality information as the salmons originate from the Norrfors Hatchery at The Umeälven River. He also believes they were later transferred as live eggs to the Kvarnbäcken Hatchery ('Kvarnbäckens kläckningsanstalt') located at The Indalsälven River; it was at the time, according to Olof Filipsson, common procedure to transfer live eggs to hatcheries from various rivers. They may then have been have been raised in "Tank 20" at Kvarnbäcken Hatchery to their current size (about 30-40 mm TL)./SIL2003
