Object remarks: The single label "Platea insignis, Steindachner, Fauna chilensis" must be written by F A Smitt during the period 1898-1904. There are no indication that the material originate from Steindachner (Platea insignis Steindachner was based on a single specimen in ZMB according to Eschmeyer) nor from the Swedish Patagonian Expedition 1896-1897 (not mentioned in Smitt, 1899). /EIÅ, 2001.
