Object remarks: Identification based on original description and Linnaeus (1764), current name from Vari (1978). Older tied on labels, one from Dalman and one younger, bear the name Perca Holocentrus. Label from L.G. Andersson bear the name Therapon argenteus Cuv. Val. (=Mesopristes argenteus). Included in Dalman's catalogue 1828.
Locality remarks: Date of collecting and accession antedates 12 July 1828.
