Object remarks: Labels from Quensel 'Sciaena v. Catal. fig. 12.', Dalman 'Sciaena', Unknown 'Cnidon' and Andersson. Probably described and figured by C Quensel in his unpublished catalogues 1798 and 1800 as Sciaena nob. /EIÅ, 2000. Possibly identical with Sciaena cappa or Sciaena lepisma in C de Geer's collection or obtained on one of the travels with the Swedish East India Company. /EIÅ, 2014 However, the specimen does not fit to Linnaeus description of S. lepisma /EIÅ&SOK, 2014
Locality remarks: Date of collecting and accession antedates 22 Aug 1806. Number on label (when present) is page number in Systema Naturae XIII and locality (when present) is taken from that paper.
