Locality remarks: Type locality of Galaxias neocaledonicus Weber & de Beaufort, 1913 is a lake in the mountains of southern New Caledonia. According to McDowall, 1968 it is known from Lac en Huit and Grand Lac only, both lakes in the upper reaches of Yaté River. Madeleine Falls not included in NIMA GEOnet. Arrived via Dr. Mok and B. Fernholm.
