Object remarks: Oldest label by Quensel: /Epinephelis merra. Bl. 10. 14: 329. Ind. Gröndal. 1800. /. Identification was accepted by Andersson, and seems still likely. Many intermediate labels with different spelling. /EIÅ, 2021
Locality remarks: Localities given on labels written by C. Quensel c. 1800 are the known distribution of the species obtained from Bloch. C.F. Gröndal (or Gröndahl) 1760-1816 made journeys to South Africa and China 1791-1792 & 1794-1796, maybe also to South America (Olsson, 2012:104). /EIÅ, 1996-2017
