Object remarks: Rendahl (1922) mentiones three specimens (115, 76 and 75 mm) of Melanotaenia nigrans from Port Darwin (fresh-water), June 1894. Is this specimen identical with any of those? The referred three are supposed to be stored in ZMO, Oslo.
Locality remarks: Gift or exchange from ZMO, Oslo - year unknown. Cf. Rendahl, 1922 for more information.
