Object remarks: Origin unclear, no original label - oldest one written by M. Kottelat (?) 1981: 'Botia histrionica (Blyth, 1860) Rangoon, Burma Ank. April 1938 [sic] gen. Göteb. Mus (R. Kaudern) det. M. Kottelat, 8.9.1981 Material used for fig. 28 in Rendahl 1948:61'.
Locality remarks: Date: unknown (probably collected Apr-Dec 1935). Original label: 'Rangoon Thomsen gm. Kaudern ankom 18/4 1936'; archive data shows that fishes were collected in Mandalay. Transfer to NRM administered by Swedish Consuls in Rangoon [=Yangon] G.O. Widgren and I. Thomsen/EIÅ, 1992.
