Object remarks: Transferred from ZI to NRM ca 1980. Prev. # also: ZI P.936 (= NRM 17866 + 17867). Only one spm. with field # (under gill cover). Field # 72 in bottom of jar = Synodontis gambiensis!. Two specimens = heads only/EIÅ. Species updated from melanopleura/SIL 1997.
Locality remarks: Coordinates for MacCarthy Island obtained from NIMA GEONet /EIÅ, 2000. Some specimens were donated by Svensson in 1932, additional material transferred from ZI on several occasions up to 1987.
