Object remarks: Genus updated from 'Bunocephalus'/SIL 1997. First record of this species from Paraguay drainage; group needs revision. Has short coracoid processes (>2 in interprocess distance) and 9-11 anal rays!/SOK 1994.
Locality remarks: River ca 20 md wide. Current medium. Colour brown, very turbid. Bottom rocks and sand. Land low forest. Shore with low forest. No aquatic veg. No shadow. Depth ca 3m. 0.02mg/l PO4. Rainy day. Fishing in playa.
