Object remarks: Labels by Dalman (Mullus barbatus), Smitt, and Andersson. Dalman lists in his catalogue (1828), three lots (1+3+3 specimens) + two lots (1+2 specimens) from Museum Paykull (which were kept separate at the time) of Mullus barbatus. Both Swartz (1809) and Quensel (1800) lists a single lot with one specimens. Possibly this specimen has an origin in the 18th century and type status (any Mullus) should be evaluated /EIÅ, 2009
Locality remarks: Date of collecting and accession antedates 12 July 1828.
