Object remarks: Old labels lost. Origin obscure. Type status not checked /EIÅ, 2003. May equal "Rana perfecta americana" in "Anfält's list" and should then have an origin in Charles de Geer's collection. (Quensel states three dublicates of Rana Pipa in 1801 which seems a low number. Probably non of these distributed.) Label from Andersson: "Pipa americana Lau. Gamla Saml. på etikett från Quensel l. Swartz ? står "Rana Pipa ♂" o. på etik från Dalman Pipa todo". No type status. /EIÅ, 2007.
Locality remarks: Date of collecting and accession antedates 22 Aug 1806.
