Object remarks: This species is endemic to Tanzania. However, the collected samples was mixed with other species "Phrynobatrachus natalensis" which has a wider distribution. 8 of the individuals belonging to the other species, was listed as NRM 8575.
Locality remarks: Lake Bunyonyi is close to the border with Rwanda
