SYNTYPE Rana marginata Linnaeus, 1758
Object remarks: Possible syntype of a Linnean taxon. Printed Drottnigholm label: (Rana marginata). Systematic position and type status to be evaluated. If the jar has got the wrong label, it was probably added by Swartz. Before about 1791 the Royal Collection had handwritten labels (scientific name) or just a number reference to a Linnaean publication /EIÅ, 2010
Locality remarks: Dates (material descr. by Linnaeus) predates 1754. Originally at Ulriksdals Castle. Transferred from Drottningholm Castle to KVA [=later NRM] in 1801.
