Object remarks: Determination assumed to be by Smitt in the 1870s and confirmed by LG Andersson in the late 19th century. Larger specimen previously in the NRM exhibition for some 50 years. Similar in colour pattern to figure in Avila-Pires, 1995 but with more cross-bands/EIÅ, 2009
Locality remarks: Time period estimated. Silva Castro is probably rather donator than collector. A single accession is assumed although several years in the span 1865-1868 is mentioned in documents and on labels. /EIÅ, 2009
