Object remarks: Labels from Quensel ("239. C. agilis. 181-58.37"), Dalman ("Coluber agilis Linn. Merr."), Smitt, and Andersson. Quensel states in his catalogue (1802): "28 / agilis 1102. Mus.Ad.Fr. 1:27. t.21.f.2. Unicum exempl. different colore a religius./ Ceylon //3./" In Hornstedt's catalogue (1788) C. agilis (3) C Aesculapii (4) and C lemniscatus (2) are included; in brackets number of sprecimens added by Quensel. All these, most probably, from de Geer or, possibly, from von Höpken. Possible syntype of Coluber agilis or some other Linnaean species. /EIÅ, 2009
