Except for NRM 82 there might also be a Seba specimen somewere (cf. Boeseman, 1970) /EIÅ, 1993. NRM 81 and 82 previously in one jar. Probabaly Linnaeus considered them conspecific. Close correspondence with Linnaeus 1754, pl. 15, fig 1. Stomach opened, contains specimen of Cichlasoma bimaculatum (Pisces: Cichlidae), a South American freshwater fish./SOK, 1998. Object remarks: Labels from Drottningholm, Quensel, Smitt, and Andersson. Likely syntype of Rana pipa. Possibly identical to specimen illustrated in Seba (cf vol I pl. 77, fig. 3.). It is not clear from Linnaeus, 1754, page XXII, if the juveniles on the back of the female refers to the king's specimen(s) or to Seba. No Pipa specimen included in Museum Adolpho-Fridericianum. If from Dahlberg, type status uncertain. Rolander's specimens (if Pipa included) probably in the de Geer's collection or efter exchange in collection of Sparrman. /EIÅ, 2011 & 2015.
