Object remarks:
Locality remarks: Oldest labels by LG Andersson's hand as well as old catalogue (all late 19th century) gives only "Brasilien Löjtnant Danckwardt 1849". JC Danckwardt (1818-1901) was found on internet and seems to match "löjtnant Danckwardt" quite well: a naval man born in Brazil and dead in Sweden and possibly old enough at 21 to have become lieutenant and to migrate. Since he was born in Rio and his father died in Santos in 1843 the collecting site is assumed to have been in this area. Also birds were donated./EIÅ, 2009.
