Object remarks: There is only one species of Leptodactylus on Puerto Rico, L. albilabris. These specimens are not L. albilabris and are probably L. fuscus / R Heyer, 2003. Most likely label was lost or mixed, probably before Andersson catalogued the lot in the late 19th century. L. fuscus is a South American species, and Cleve seems to have visited North America and the West Indies on his journey only. Tentatively locality should be regarded as unknown /EIÅ, 2010
