Object remarks: Labels from Drottningholm (printed): Coluber laticaudatus, Dalman: Platurus fasciatus Merr. Colub. laticaudatus Linn., Smitt? and Andersson. Included in Quensel's catalogue (ref. Mus. Ad. Frid. Ipsiss. one lot with 2 spms. from M. Dhm). Linnaeus, 1754 refers to two specimens (alfa and beta) of which this is beta and not illustrated. EIÅ, 2011 Following Andersson (1899: 18) the type serie is a composite (cf NRM 87). /EIÅ & SOK, 2011
Locality remarks: Dates (material descr. by Linnaeus) predates 1754. Originally at Ulriksdals Castle. Transferred from Drottningholm Castle to KVA [=later NRM] in 1801.
