Object remarks: Labels from Drottningholm (printed): Coluber laticaudatus, Dalman: Platurus fasciatus Merr. Colub. laticaudatus Linn., and Andersson. Included in Quensel's catalogue (ref. Mus. Ad. Frid. Ipsiss. one lot with 2 spms. from M. Dhm). Linnaeus, 1754 refers to two specimens (alfa and beta) of which this is alfa and also is the one illustrated. EIÅ, 2011 Following Andersson (1899: 18) the type serie is a composite (cf NRM 87). /EIÅ & SOK, 2011
Locality remarks: Collection built up from about 1743. Including material collected by Löfling, Hasselqvist, Brander etc. A minor part from the Seba Collection. Material described and published by Linnaeus in Museum Adolphi Fiderici in 1754 and 1764. Originally at Ulriksdals Castle. Transferred from Drottningholm Castle to KVA in 1801/EIÅ, 2015 And to NRM in 1841/1848 /EIÅ, 2023
