Object remarks: Original lot included three specimens, now in NRM 6438-6439. Original labels by Quensel (slender type Rana marginata ) and Dalman: Rana marginata Lin. Merr. (both labels now missing). Andersson's labels with NRM 6438. Possibly to be included in the type series of Rana marginata, although indications are obscure. Cf. Quensel's catalogue 1802! Status to be evaluated. /EIÅ, 2010.
Locality remarks: The de Deer collection was seen by Linnaeus, but only a few nominal species explicitly referred to it. After the transfer to KVA in 1778 the collection was mixed with the rest of the KVA collection and probably without labels during the 18th century. The collection includes material collected by D Rolander and CG Dahlberg in Surinam 1755-1756, as well as JA Schlosser's collection (purchased by de Geer in 1769 and examined by Pallas et al) /EIÅ, 2010
