Object remarks: Swartz' catalogue (1809-1812) includes only three dry snakes, which all can be excluded. Fries or Sundewall lists it 1840. So, it is probably accessed during the period 1812-1839. It is a Colubridae or Elapidae, ventral scales 162, might have been greenish in life. Possible collectors includes Hedenborg (NE Africa). Species identification might generate more collecting data. /EIÅ, 2008.
Locality remarks: Field station for specimens marked 'Ante 1839', 'Coll.Acad.', or 'Gamla samlingen'. Gamla samlingen usually apply to material antedating 1828 (cf. Andersson's Catalogue: Anguis fragilis: 9) /EIÅ, 2016
