PARALECTOTYPE Testudo geometrica Linnaeus, 1758
Object remarks: Stuffed/dried specimen mounted on wooden block. Old label on block: '...India Orient., Coll. Acad. Antiq. sign. T. amboinensis...'. "T. amboinensis Mus. Ad. Fr. p. 50 tabul cit a. W." written with ink on plastron. Possibly one of the specimens catalogued by C Quensel. Note on plastron possibly also by Quensel. Probably not from Drottningholm (dry turtles were sent to Uppsala). Doesn´t seem to match anything in Hornstedt's Catalogue. Probably arrived during the period 1788-1797. /EIÅ, 2006. Maybe previously stored in alc.? Type status and origin to be evaluated. /EIÅ, 2016
