SYNTYPE Coluber aulicus Linnaeus
Object remarks: Labels from Ulriksdal, Dalman, and Andersson. Linnaeus, 1758 refers also to Seba. Seba's picture seems to be more uniform in pigmentation. Lectotype designation might be needed for stability. NRM 21 may have been collected in any of all 18th century Dutch ports along the coasts of India and Sri Lanka. /Eiå, 2016
Locality remarks: Collection built up from about 1743. Including material collected by Löfling, Hasselqvist, Brander etc. A minor part from the Seba Collection. Material described and published by Linnaeus in Museum Adolphi Fiderici in 1754 and 1764. Originally at Ulriksdals Castle. Transferred from Drottningholm Castle to KVA in 1801/EIÅ, 2015 And to NRM in 1841/1848 /EIÅ, 2023
