SYNTYPE Coluber angulatus Linnaeus, 1758
Object remarks: Listed by Andersson (1990) as Coluber angulatus; but labeled (up till 1998) as Helicops angulatus (outside label) and Coluber atrox (inside label). Close correspondence with Linnaeus 1754, pl. 15, fig 1. Stomach opened, contains specimen of Cichlasoma bimaculatum (Pisces: Cichlidae), a South American freshwater fish./SOK, 1998. Labels from Drottningholm (Coluber angulatus), Dalman (Coluber angulatus. Linn. Merr.), and Andersson. Additional known syntypes UUZM 7 + figure in Seba II 12:3 / EIÅ, 2013
Locality remarks: Collection built up from about 1743. Including material collected by Löfling, Hasselqvist, Brander etc. A minor part from the Seba Collection. Material described and published by Linnaeus in Museum Adolphi Fiderici in 1754 and 1764. Originally at Ulriksdals Castle. Transferred from Drottningholm Castle to KVA in 1801/EIÅ, 2015 And to NRM in 1841/1848 /EIÅ, 2023
