Locality: From Charles de Geer's (1720-1778) collection, maybe examined by C. Linnaeus who visited the collection several times

Object remarks: Labels from C de Geer (230. C. lemniscatus..210..20.), Dalman (Elaps lemniscatus), and Smitt (Elaps lemniscatus). Quensel's Catalogue (1802): "51. lemniscatus Lin. p. 1110 Mus.A.Fr. 1:p.34 tab. 14 f.1. ubi lunbricus ad dimidram partem deglutium representatur Ad colores quod athnet optinei nostrum specimen figurne convenit / Asia / 1. 2. / M. Dh." According to Quensel's (1802), Swartz' (1809), and Dalman's (1824) catalogues there should be a total of three specimens of Coluber lemniscatus, but there are 6 specimens labeled as that species according to labels from Drottningholm or Quensel /EIÅ, 2009 corrected 2014
Locality remarks: After Charles de Geer's death in 1778 his widow the same year presented his collections to the Academy of Science - but without a list of content. Included are material from Daniel Rolander's journey to Suriname 1755-1756 as well as parts of Johan Albert Schlosser's (? - 1769) collection. / EIÅ, 2014
